Please note that we start flying to Olbia as of 27 May 2015. Check out our flight schedule to/from Olbia >>
Olbia is located in northeastern Sardinia, a beautiful Italian island, and was called “the happy city”, by the Greeks. For some it’s only known as a port to pass through, but Olbia is in fact an interesting city of history and culture on one side, and the beautiful beaches of the Costa Smeralda on the other side.
The Sardinian city also hosts some magnificent shopping places. Both in the north and the south the shopping centres have grown with a mix of boutiques, galleries and restaurants. If you rather enjoy shopping in a historical environment, you should visit Old Olbia. In this part of town visitors can shop in a place that seems a bit lost in time.
But most of all Olbia is a city of great historical interest. It hosts numerous archaeological sites that are certainly worth a visit: the sacred Nuraghic well of Sa Testa, the Castelo di Pedres, the Roman Aquaduct… So if you like to be overwhelmed by Sardinian history, than Olbia is the place to be.
