Ibiza (Catalan name: Eivissa) is an island in the Mediterranean Sea 79 km off the coast of the city of Valencia, Spain. It is the third largest of the Balearic Islands, an autonomous community of Spain. Its largest cities are Ibiza Town (Catalan:Vila d'Eivissa or simply Vila), Santa Eulària des Riu and Sant Antoni de Portmany.
The island is well-known for its summer club parties which attract large numbers of tourists, but Ibiza is much more than just a party island. Ibiza is a beautiful island, lush and green all year round with stunning coastlines and pretty white-washed villages. Rent a car and go drive alongside the many breathtaking cliffs and bays. With its soft, white sand and crystal clear waters, Ibiza's beaches are some of the finest in the Mediterranean.
A visit to one of the famous Hippy Markets is a 'Must-see' when visiting Ibiza: exotic clothes, jewellery and a fantastic 'fiesta' atmosphere.
Or you can charter a boat for the day, visit the Salt pans at sunset, go paintballing or learn to kite-surf... Ibiza is as active as you want it to be!
