Much more than eating with chopsticks
Eastern Asia is home to the third-largest country in the world: China. For many tourists, this is the ultimate dream and more than worth recommending in our opinion.
The image that many people have of China from reading history books is completely at odds with the current situation. The major cities in particular have become westernised and are a textbook example of dynamic change and economic growth. The contrast with the country and the poorer western part of China is however still fairly striking.
Among the most popular tourist attractions of China are the country’s two largest cities: Beijing and Shanghai. Another attraction that is definitely worth a visit is the famous Terracotta Army in Xi’an. These 6,000 life-size clay figures were intended to guard the tomb of the first emperor of China. And last but not least, no trip to China could possibly be complete without a visit to the country’s most famous structure: the Great Wall.
