Music and sports equipment

What can I bring on board?

Music equipment

Small instruments (e.g. violin) may be carried in the cabin, included in the free hand luggage allowance, provided they fit in the overhead compartment or under the seat in front of you.

If you wish to take a music instrument with you in the cabin that does not fit in the overhead compartment or under the seat in front of you (e.g. guitar, cello), an extra seat is required. For the extra seat you will be charged the fare excluding taxes. Please book via our Service Centre for both your seat and the extra seat for your instrument.

Big instruments (e.g. contrabass) need to be transported in the hold. Contact our Service Centre for more information on traveling with musical instruments.
