Special meals

We understand that you may have special dietary requirements and will do our best to meet your needs. We serve a large variety of special meals tailored to suit medical, religious or other specific needs on board our intercontinental flights and flights to/from Tel Aviv. On board our other European flights, we serve the same variety of special meals to our Bizz&Class guests only.

Do you wish to order a special meal? Simply place your request at least 24 hours before the departure of your flight using this form.

Guests travelling with children can order a baby or child meal on all our intercontinental flights (when travelling in Economy or Business class) and on all our European flights (when travelling in Flex&Fast or Bizz&Class).

Do you wish to order a baby or child meal for your kids and enjoy a range of other advantages when travelling with your family? Simply place your request at least 72 hours before the departure of your flight using our b.family form.


Please find below an overview of all the special meals we offer on board:

Baby and Children meals

Type of meal Description
Baby meal 
Up to 24 months
On most flights within Europe we serve a fruit baby meal, which is sugar, salt and gluten free. In addition, we also offer vegetable puree on all our intercontinental flights.
Child meal 
2-9 years
A balanced, child-friendly meal without the addition of hot spices. Some examples: pasta with tomato sauce, chicken nuggets etc.

Dietary meals 

Type of meal Description
Bland meal 
Light, low-fat meals including mildly seasoned lean meat or fish.
Diabetic meal 
Meals without sugar.
Low-calorie meal 
Meals prepared with low-calorie foods, which do not include any pasta, baked goods or products containing cream.
Low-fat meal 
Meals prepared with ingredients which contain minimum levels of fat and no cholesterol.
Gluten intolerant meal
Meals contain neither cereals (wheat, rye, barley, oats) nor starchy foods.
Low-lactose meal
Meals prepared with ingredients which are lactose-free.

Religious meals

Type of meal Description
Hindu meal  
Meals prepared in accordance with religious guidelines. They may contain lamb, poultry or fish. Beef products are excluded. 
Muslim meal 
Meals prepared in accordance with religious guidelines. They don't contain pork.
Kosher meal 
Meals prepared, packed and sealed only by rabbis in accordance with kosher guidelines.

Vegetarian and whole food meals

Type of meal Description
Vegetarian raw meal  
Combination of raw fruit and vegetables.
Vegetarian vegan meal  
Meat-free Western-style meals without dairy products or eggs.
Vegetarian Hindu meal 
Indian-style meals omitting meat, fish, eggs, poultry, lard and gelatine products.
Vegetarian Jain meal 
Indian-style vegetarian meals prepared in accordance with Jain dietary customs.
Vegetarian lacto-ovo meal
Meals contain dairy and egg products, but no meat or fish.
Vegetarian Oriental meal 
Chinese-style vegetarian meal.
Fruit platter meal
Only fruit is served.
Seafood meal 
Meals containing fish and/or seafood.

Brussels Airlines recognises that there are passengers who are allergic to nuts. We would like to inform you that we do serve nut products on board, and that there may be trace elements of unspecified nut ingredients in meals and snacks. Additionally, other customers may bring nuts on board. Hence, we are not able to guarantee a nut-free environment on a Brussels Airlines-operated flight. When making your travel arrangements, we recommend that you assess the extent of any allergies or other medical conditions.
