Singapore is a little island country of only 683 km² in Southeast Asia and was a British colony for a long time. After the independence, Singapore has grown to one of the wealthiest countries in the world. Especially on the main island people enjoy high standards of living, but Singapore also contains more than 60 smaller islands. Located just about 100 km north of the equator, the island group has a tropical and humid climate with little seasonal change. The average temperature ranges from 23 to 28 degrees the whole year round. The top attraction of Singapore is the capital with the identical name.
The city offers a wide range of activities for both business and leisure.
