Rules for cancelling your ticket and asking a refund


  • b.business:
    Cancellation before departure: 100% refund
    Cancellation after departure: refund of the difference between the fare paid and the applicable one-way fare. If upgraded from b.flex or b.light to b.business the original non-refundable amounts remain non-refundable*.
  • b.flex economy+:
    Cancellation before departure: 100% refund
    Cancellation after departure: refund of the difference between the fare paid and the applicable one-way fare. If upgraded from b.light to b.business the original non-refundable amounts remain non-refundable*.
  • b.light economy:
    Brussels Airlines does not refund cancelled b.light economy segments*.
  • Economy - Business Class:
    Contact our Service Centre on the after sales number to verify whether your ticket qualifies for refund of non-flown segments.

A €35 administration fee is charged per ticket (only for b.light and economy tickets - no fee for b.flex, b.business and business) to handle the refund of the amount you are entitled to. Only exceptions are b.business, b.flex economy+ and business class tickets purchased online via the Brussels Airlines website.


* The airline fee, credit card fee and eventual insurances fee, are not refunded. The fuel surcharge is not refunded on b.light economy - economy fares K, L, E, T, S, V, W and Q which are mentioned on your ticket.
