Rules for changing your reservation


  • b.business:
    The b.business ticket is changeable free of charge, as long as the original fare level is still available. Otherwise, the difference to the next higher available b.business fare will be charged additionally.

  • b.flex economy+:
    The b.flex economy+ ticket is changeable free of charge, as long as the original fare level is still available. Otherwise, the difference to the next higher available b.flex economy+ fare will be charged additionally.

  • b.light economy:
    On majority of the routes, a b.light ticket is changeable (date/flight) up to 24h before departure against the payment of a penalty fee plus any difference in cost between the original price paid and the lowest price available at time the change is being made. Within 24 hours of the departure the difference will be calculated between the original price paid and the lowest b.flex available fare. For some bookings the difference in taxes and fees may also be charged.

  • Please note: Changes in reservations to and from Geneva are subject to payment of an administrative fee to Swissport.
    Fee for the reissuance of a ticket: CHF60 (eq. €49). 
    Fee for the revalidation of a ticket: CHF30 (eq. €25).

  • b.business:
    Cancellation before departure: 100% refund
    Cancellation after departure: refund of the difference between the fare paid and the applicable one-way fare. If upgraded from b.flex or b.light to b.business the original non-refundable amounts remain non-refundable*.

  • b.flex economy+:
    Cancellation before departure: 100% refund
    Cancellation after departure: refund of the difference between the fare paid and the applicable one-way fare. If upgraded from b.light to b.business the original non-refundable amounts remain non-refundable*.

  • b.light economy:
    Brussels Airlines does not refund cancelled b.light economy segments*.

  • economy - business class:
    Contact our Service Centre on the after sales number to verify whether your ticket qualifies for refund of non-flown segments.               


A €35 administration fee is charged per ticket (only for b.light and economy tickets - no fee for b.flex, b.business and business) to handle the refund of the amount you are entitled to. Only exceptions are b.business, b.flex economy+ and business class tickets purchased online via the Brussels Airlines website.

* The airline fee, credit card fee and eventual insurances fee, are not refunded. The fuel surcharge is not refunded on b.light economy - economy fares K, L, E, T, S, V, W and Q which are mentioned on your ticket.
