Sea, sun and culture: the magnificent city of Spilt is certainly a major tourist attraction in the summer.
Split is the economic and administrative hub of Central Dalmatia, which is one of the most beautiful regions of Croatia. Greek and Roman influences are still clearly visible in this friendly city with a population of about 200,000. Visitors are taken back to classical antiquity in Diocletian’s Palace, in particular.
Its large number of museums means that Split will also certainly appeal to art-lovers. Other tourist and cultural attractions include the national theatre and the many old churches and archaeological sites.
