Miami is on Biscayne Bay and has the most famous and beautiful beaches in the United States.
Miami is a port in the State of Florida. The city centre is fairly small, easy to get around and has a number of skyscrapers. The famous Miami Beach is on the eastside of the city. It is divided into the North Beach and the South Beach. The southern part is certainly the most popular, but also more expensive and part of it is taken up by the well-known Art Deco District.
The city has a large Cuban community, with the Little Havana district as a consequence. Other tourist attractions include the Fairchild Tropical Gardens, the Kennedy Park, which provides a panoramic view of Biscayne Bay and the John F. Kennedy Memorial Torch of Friendship, with its eternal flame symbolising the friendly links between Miami and Latin America. Another well-known building is the Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum.
