• Check-in for the target flight is open
• Booked codeshare or scheduled flight operated by Brussels Airlines, Lufthansa, SWISS and Austrian Airlines
• Availability in requested travel class is given
• For all or individuals in one booking. Please be informed that children aged under 12 have to stay accompanied and may not travel alone in the original or upgraded cabin.
• Conditions for fixed price upgrade bookings are based on the originally booked fare, regarding the conditions for changing a booking and the baggage allowance.

• For journeys where flight extras have already been booked but no payment has yet been made and the relevant documents for the service have not been issued.
• For journeys where non chargeable or chargeable additional services have already been booked which would prevent an upgrade from being made – for example, where an unchecked item is occupying an extra seat (CBBG).
• For journeys where not all flight segments are confirmed (waiting list bookings).
• For journeys that have been booked as a group (more than 9 passengers).
