If there’s one life lesson we learned from this pandemic, it’s that being surrounded by good people is simply vital. Whether at home with loved ones, at work with great colleagues, in school with lovely friends or up 35,000 feet with a helpful and hospitable crew. Good company goes a long way. Hence, we cherish the kind-hearted people who enrich our lives, making them more exciting, inspiring, delicious, beautiful or simply more valuable.
Samuel, born and raised in one of the most deprived districts of the Cameroonian capital, talks about how he left Africa at the early age of sixteen. In Spain (Europe), the kind-hearted Mallorca team player Vicente Engonga made him feel at home right away. Being so young, far away and disconnected from his home country and family, Samuel couldn’t have dreamed of a better company to adopt him.
Now, being one of the greatest African players of all time, Samuel wants to pay Vicente homage and visit him in Spain to thank him.
Here’s to good company. In sports., and in the sky.
