Benimaclet

An alternative neighbourhood where students, artists and locals come together. Small cafés, vintage shops and bars with live music create a completely different atmosphere from the touristy city centre.

Jardín de Monforte

A hidden neoclassical garden with statues, fountains and perfectly trimmed hedges. Much quieter than the city’s larger parks, making it a favourite spot for locals to escape the crowds for a while.

El Cabanyal & Patacona Beach

On the edge of the city lies El Cabanyal, a historic fishermen’s district with colourful houses and ceramic façades. In its narrow streets you’ll find small cafés, local restaurants and a creative atmosphere that gives the neighbourhood a very distinct character. Cultural spots such as La Fábrica de Hielo also bring locals together here for concerts, exhibitions and events. From here, you can easily continue walking towards Patacona Beach, a quieter beach just outside the centre where residents like to relax. The promenade with its cosy bars and restaurants is the perfect place to experience Valencia in a laid-back way.

Port Saplaya

A colourful coastal village just outside Valencia, often called “Little Venice” because of its canals and pastel-coloured houses.

Mercado Central

One of the largest and most beautiful covered markets in Europe. Under its colourful domes you’ll find hundreds of stalls selling fresh produce, from fruit and vegetables to local cheeses and Spanish ham. Although the market is also popular with visitors, many locals still come here to do their daily shopping or stop by one of the bars for a quick tapa and a drink.
