If there’s one life lesson we’ve learned, it’s that being surrounded by good people is simply vital. Whether at home with loved ones, at work with great colleagues, in school with wonderful friends, or even high up in the sky with a helpful and hospitable crew, good company makes all the difference. We cherish the kind-hearted people who enrich our lives, making them more exciting, inspiring, beautiful, or simply more valuable.
Samuel, born and raised in one of the most deprived districts of the Cameroonian capital, reflects on how he left Africa at the age of sixteen. In Spain, the kind-hearted Mallorca team player Vicente Engonga made him feel at home right away. Being so young, far from his family and disconnected from his homeland, Samuel couldn’t have dreamed of a better companion to take him in.
Now, as one of the greatest African players of all time, Samuel wants to honour Vicente by visiting him in Spain to express his gratitude.
Here’s to good company, across continents, on the field, and beyond.
