Contest Rules: Semaine Ivoirienne de la culture 2023

ARTICLE 1 – ORGANISER

Brussels Airlines SA, a company incorporated under Belgian law and having its registered office at 1050 Brussels, avenue des Saisons 100-102, box 30 with company number 0400.853.488, organizes this contest without any obligation of purchase for the participants. 

Brussels Airlines is hereafter referred to as "the organizer" or "Brussels Airlines".

These conditions describe the contest organisation and stipulate the rules of participation.

ARTICLE 2 – PARTICIPATION IN THE CONTEST

The contest is open to all people with the exclusion of Brussels Airlines employees, and administrators of the organizer or any other person involved in the organisation of this contest as well as any family members of the aforementioned.

Participation in this contest is only possible through the associated participation form. Only participants who are 18 years or older are allowed to participate in the contest. The ID card will be checked to confirm that the winner is 18 years or older. Only one participation per e-mail address is allowed. More than one participation per e-mail address will result in the cancellation of all participations made by this person. A recognition software will be used to determine if a specific e-mail address was already entered before.

Participation in the contest is free of charge and without obligation to purchase.

ARTICLE 3 – CONTEST MECHANISM

The contest starts on July 1st 2023 and ends on July 8th 2023 at midnight.

To participate validly, the participant has to fill in the participation form displayed on the event location by scanning the provided QR code.

To be eligible to win the prizes provided by Brussels Airlines, the participation form needs to be completed in full.

The registrations and personal information have to be received by the organizer at the latest on July 8th 2023 at midnight. All disputes relative to the time of the registration’s delivery will be resolved on the base of the time of the delivery inscribed on the organiser’s server. Incomplete participation forms will not be taken into account.

The organizer reserves the right to check the accuracy of the information provided by the participants (i.e. age, identity, place of residence, …) The organizer may exclude a participant at any time and definitively, in case of violation of any of the conditions of participation, in case of provision of a false identity or in case of abuse, deception or participation in bad faith in the contest.

The participation can be done in English.

ARTICLE 4 – THE WINNERS

2 winners will be designated at the end of the contest by a lucky draw.

ARTICLE 5 – PRIZES

The first winner will receive 1 long haul return ticket valid in economy class from Brussels to Abidjan.

The second winner will receive a Brussels Airlines branded collector aircraft maquette.

The winners will receive an email with more information.

The prize (the entirety of the prize or one of its components) cannot be exchanged for cash or any other prize. The ticket must be used by the winner. Once the winner is determined, he will receive a confirmation e-mail asking to send over the personal data (full name, date of birth). This way a ticket can be arranged for him as well. The deadline to send all the details is Sunday, July 9th 2023.

In case a person cannot use the ticket, it is not possible to change or refund it. In this case, the ticket will be lost and not valid anymore.

The flight ticket is valid on a Brussels Airlines operated flight under the following conditions:

The ticket is to be issued in a period starting from the 9th July 2023 and ending on the 31/12/2023.

Travel date starts from the 9th of July 2023 and ends on the 31/12/2024.

The concerned tickets have to be used on the regular scheduled flights of and operated by Brussels Airlines and are subject to availability. Both the departure and the return flights must be flown with Brussels Airlines. The departure shall take place before the end date of this agreement.

The related ticket shall not give rise to Miles and More award Miles.

The reservation and issuance of individual tickets (as from 1 to 9 passengers maximum) have to be arranged from Monday to Friday during business hours, via the Brussels Airlines customer contact center at the B.House in 1831 Diegem, by email to dsd_backoffice@brusselsairlines.com.

ARTICLE 6 – TERMS & CONDITIONS AND ACCEPTANCE

By clicking on the check box, the participant agrees to the terms and conditions of this contest.

ARTICLE 7 – RESPONSIBILITY AND FORCE MAJEURE

The organizer reserves the right to postpone, modify or cancel the contest in case of force majeure or for any other reason beyond the control of the organizer (for example a technical incident linked to a computer system failure, fraudulent access to the computer system, system bugs, interruptions or delays of telecommunication networks, but not only limiting to that). Similarly, the organizer cannot be held responsible for problems that are inherent to the transmission of electronic data preventing participants to take part in the contest or to participate correctly in the contest.

The organizer cannot be held responsible for the organization of the Semaine Ivoirienne de la Cutlure 2023(i.e. cancellation of the event, COVID related restrictive measures, change of dates, change of programs, …).

ARTICLE 8 – PRIVACY & DATA PROTECTION

The organizer acts in accordance with Belgian legislation on the private life protection (law of 8/12/1992). Participants' personal data gathered during the contest will be dealt with responsibly by the organizer. By taking part in the contest, the participant authorizes the recording of his personal data, obtained by the contest into the organizer's folders. This data will serve for the management of the contest and for the identification of the winners.

In accordance with the law, the participant possesses the right to control, modify, and delete his data. The participant who requests the cancellation of his/her/it data during the contest period accepts the automatic suspension of his/her/it participation, knowing that, without logging, it is not possible to appear in the list of participants.

ARTICLE 9 – VALIDITY

If, for any reason, an article of the present terms and conditions proves to be illegal, invalid or inapplicable, this article will be considered separately and will not influence the validity of the other conditions.

The conditions ruled out will have to be interpreted and/or replaced by valid conditions whose aim and effects are similar or else equivalent or closest to the conditions aimed for by the original provision.

ARTICLE 10 – LAWS APPLICABLE AND LEGAL JURISDICTION

The parties agree to try to find an amicable settlement in case of any dispute concerning the interpretation of the present contest terms and conditions, as well as any unforeseen situation by these terms and conditions.

The present terms and conditions of the contest are governed by the Belgian law, without regard about the conflict rules of the law. The participant accepts that all court actions resulting from his/her participation to the contest or concerning these contest regulations will be of the exclusive competence of the Brussels Court (Belgium) and he/she/it accepts to refer to the jurisdiction of such court of law for the purpose of such action if no settlement has been found between the parties within a reasonable period of time.
