"Tracking pixels" are small blocks of code on a webpage or app, which are used to track your usage information. Tracking pixels are invisible to you. Any portion of our website, app and advertisements (hereafter: ‘ads’) may contain tracking pixels.

Categories of cookies used on our websites

    Tealium provides tag management system via which third-party providers can load their technologies. These are used for tracking the visitors, sessions and timestamps information, all anonymised data. They can also be used with the Persist extension to store persistent cookie information.

We use the Google’s (Google Inc.) remarketing function on our websites for digital marketing. This is implemented through cookie technology and is used to display interest-based advertisements to visitors to any website that belongs to the Google Advertising Network. Third-party providers ’cookies on our websites

We use third-party cookies to be able to track conversions (i.e. when a browsing session leads to a purchase) and to perform retargeting/remarketing to visitors to other websites. We may process such data conducting analysis for the purposes of marketing and/or monitoring, but no data can be traceable back to any individual.

These above mentioned cookies can be used to:

The use of Google Analytics enables Brussels Airlines to track and analyse data, web sessions and interactions across different devices, which can be identified by a pseudonymous user ID facilitating the analysis of user’s activities across those devices.

Tealium category:


We use cookies via Tealium IQ, which is a tag management system, to load tracking pixels from third-party providers onto our websites. Tealium IQ processes non-personal data (such as the timestamp of the website visit, ID of the page accessed, ID of the visitor, ID of the session) in order to optimise the loading of the tracking pixels. These cookies are not stored and expire after a standard period.

Statistics category:

Usabilla and others

We use various methods to analyse the user’s usage and feedback, for example if the user takes part in an online survey, a cookie is placed on their device and data related to the device is transmitted. In order to optimise the websites, we use technologies of “Usabilla for websites”; “Hotjar” for analysis of the heat maps on the websites; and conversion tools from Twitter and Google AdWords (“Twitter Conversion” and “Google AdWords and Ads Conversion”).

Comfort category:

For the personalisation of the content of our websites, in alignment with your interests, we use technologies from different providers, such as:

SOASTA mPulse” – for collection of data directly from a user’s browser in real time;

Affiliate Window”- technologies for global affiliate marketing network;

Yieldr” – for optimisation of digital marketing for yield management;
