Brussels Airport information

Belgian law requires Brussels Airlines to perform a conformity check between the name on your boarding pass and the name on your identity card or passport. Conformity checks will be performed on all Brussels Airlines operated flights to and from Brussels, also on intra-Schengen flights. All guests need to be in possession of a valid identity card or passport when boarding (driving license and other documents like health insurance cards, bank cards etc. are not accepted as valid travel documents). This also applied to children and infants.

You will only be accepted to board your flight if the names on your boarding pass and your identity card or passport match. Therefore, it is important that your official name is mentioned in your reservation. In case your name or the name of other passengers is misspelled, please don't hesitate to contact your travel agency or us via +32 (0)2 723 23 62.

  • In some cases, depending on your airport of origin and your destination, you will need to clear security checks or passport controls. Please allow enough time, respect the liquids and gel regulations and keep your travel documents at hand.
  • Please be at the gate for your onward journey at least 20 minutes before your connecting flight departs.
  • Unlimited free access to the internet is available for all passengers via WiFi. Sign up using your Facebook or Google+ account or fill in your data.

How to reach my connecting flight

Once you land

Once you land at Brussels Airport, check the information on your connecting flight on the screens located around the airport.

  • If the gate number is not indicated yet, the screen displays the time when the gate number will be communicated. Note that in any case your gate area is already indicated as well as the estimated time to reach it.
  • If the gate number is indicated, you’ll also see the estimated walking time to reach your gate.
Be aware that the estimated walking time does not take into account the waiting time at the security screening and border control. So allow extra time to go through security screening and border control.

Go to your gate

Follow the distinctive red signs until you reach your gate.

When you land, check the flight information screens and listen for announcements. You can also find your gate information, once it's available, on the Brussels Airport website and the Brussels Airport app. Be aware that some flights can operate under more than one airline’s flight number (ie. SN, LH,LX,OS). In that case, the different numbers are displayed in rotation on the screens.
