    About Quebec

Declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO, Quebec City is surrounded by beautiful nature. The city offers a variety of cultural, historical and architectural highlights, as well as excellent food and internationally renowned events.

The cradle of French civilization in North America, Quebec City is the only walled town in North America. The city is divided into an upper town and a lower town, connected by a funicular built in 1879. The famous Château Frontenac, the symbol of the city, and the Battlefields Park, where French and British clashed in 1759, are located in the upper town. While the lower town, former home to the first colons, is characterized by narrow streets and old architecture. Don’t miss the Quartier Petit-Champlain, one of the liveliest districts of the city, full of shops, boutiques and galleries.

We recommend taking the ferry linking Québec City and Lévis. You will cross the St. Lawrence River and be able to enjoy lovely views of Quebec City’s skyline.

    Around Quebec

Quebec covers more than a quarter of Canada’s total surface and maps an incredible variety of landscapes: plains, mountains, forests, taigas, tundra, maritime areas, over a million of lakes and thousands of rivers, among them the St. Lawrence, one of the largest rivers on earth.

Quebec is also home to several Aboriginal communities. If you are looking for a different experience, you can plan a stay in one of the Aboriginal communities and get the opportunity to encounter ancestral customs and traditions and live, for few hours or few days, at one with the overwhelming Canadian nature.
