    What to do in Fuerteventura?

    1. Isle of Lobos: this small nature reserve located just 2 km north of Fuerteventura is the largest on the island and home to over a hundred rare plants and birds that live nowhere else on Earth.
    2. Winter Villa: During the Second World War, Fuerteventura was a secret base for German troops. German engineer Gustav Winter was sent to the island to live in this villa, where many important military decisions were taken. In the villa, you can now still see many secret development plans, drawings and scale models of submarines.
    3. Long sunny days with a mild, spring-like climate, intense winds and waves up to two metres make the island a windsurfing, kite-surfing and sailing paradise.
    4. Betancuria: This colonial town used to be the capital of the Canary Islands thanks to its secluded inland location to offer a better defence against pirate attacks. Nowadays, the town is a heritage site, depending entirely on tourism. Walk through the streets and feel the ancient vibe of Fuerteventura.
    5. Dreams House Museum contains an impressive collection of models, historic figurines and old toys. Your kids will surely love it!
    6. Morro del Jable is a wonderful beach with white sands and crystalline waters. With its picture-postcard scenery, it’s always a good idea to bring your camera.
