What to do in and around Reus?

    1. The Gaudí Centre, located on the Plaza del Mercadal, exhibits different aspects of the life and work of Antoni Gaudí. Although the architect didn’t design any modernist buildings in his native city, many of his colleagues did. Amongst those famous buildings are Casa Navas, designed by Lluís Domènech i Montaner.
    2. The wonderful town hall, located on the Plaza del Mercadal, is considered one of the most beautiful buildings in Reus.
    3. Institut Pere Mata is a jewel of Modernism, built between 1897 and 1912 and designed by Lluis Domenech i Montaner, one of Gaudi’s teachers. This monument is still used as a psychiatric clinic, with the exception of one of its pavilions, which is open for tourists instead.
    4. Bofarull Palace will surprise you because you won’t expect to see such a building in a city like Reus. Built during the 18th century, it is now property of the Diputació de Tarragona and one of the finest examples of the art of this period.
    5. Reus is a centre for rock climbing, as it is surrounded by many mountains, such as the Sierra de Prades. It's an active way to discover the breathtaking nature.
    6. One of Spain’s most popular holiday resorts is Salou, which is only 10 km south of Reus. If you’re looking for a day at the beach and a party in the evening, you can’t find a better location.
    7. PortAventura World is an amusement park for all ages. This resort includes four-star accommodation, several theme parks and a convention centre. Ferrari Land, one of the theme parks, has Europe’s highest and fastest vertical accelerator and includes the world’s first Ferrari hotel.
